The Catenary Pavilion generator is the result of a design workflow conceptualization by Emergent. First brought about by explorations into the usage of Minimum Spanning Trees to partition space, then further delved into through physics-based simulations for meshing with strip morphologies and inflating into a catenary structure.

 

This proposed pavilion was designed with bent aluminum strip fabrication in mind, and a prototype automatic nesting +  labeling system was also developed.
